:: Pee Wee Ellis
Pee Wee Ellis has been called The Man Who Invented Funk for his years as James Brown's musical director, arranger, saxophonist and songwriter. He joined James in 1965 and quickly wrote Cold Sweat Ðarguably the world's first funk songÐ and 26 more James Brown songs. His conception changed the course of music. He later went on to be Van Morrison's musical director, arranger and saxophonist over a span of 15 years. Website: http://www.peewee-ellis.com/
:: Peggy Seeger
Peggy plays 5 string banjo, autoharp, English Concertina and piano. She has made 22 solo discs and countless recordings with Ewan MacColl. Her latest albums ‘Bring Me Home’ vols one and two have attracted major attention from the media.
She had her 70th birthday at a celebration concert in London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall, 2005.
