Of all the West Coast singer-songwriters, Joni Mitchell remains its most influential figure, with a body of work running the gamut from folk to mainstream pop, right through to modern jazz.
This comprehensive survey of Joni’s career includes landmarks such as Big Yellow Taxi, Free Man In Paris, River and of course Both Sides Now, a wide selection from albums such as The Hissing of Summer Lawns, Hejira, Court and Spark and her iconic first release, Blue.
Both Sides Now brings together a group of top-drawer musicians, featuring singer Sarah Miller already known to Bath audiences for her performances with Nearly Dan and keyboard player Aidan Goldstraw, whose devotion to Joni’s back catalogue shines through in performance. The band line up is completed with Nick Mellor on guitar (The Eagles’ Don Felder, John Miles, Tony Christie) and on bass Ollie Collins (Nearly Dan, Badly Drawn Boy, James Morrison).
Come and spend an evening exploring the work of a musical genius.
