The Eastern wine regions in France include Alsace, Burgundy, the Rhone Valley and Provence, plus some lesser-known regions. The most northerly regions are most famous for world-class white wines with reds taking over in the South of Burgundy.
The tasting will start with a sparkler, but the rest will depend on what is on offer and looks both interesting and fits in with the theme.
