Hello Chapel Goers

The latest update from The Government dated 4th January 2021 is lockdown for the whole of the UK – most likely until end of February but might be until sometime in March 2021.

I am working my way through all the events/gigs in January and February, and will be contacting you all with new dates or cancellations in due course.

In light of these further developments, Music Venue Trust has permitted us to re-instate our Crowd-funder to help us to continue to move forward through these tough times in the grass roots industry.  I understand we are all suffering, so any funds are very much appreciated.

Happy New Year!

In light of Matt Hancock – The Health Secretary’s speech at 11.00 a.m. on 17th December 2020, Bath is staying in Tier 2.

In accordance with government guidelines: Public attendance at indoor events, including performances/shows/Grass Roots Music Venues is permitted with reduced capacity (48 in our case) and drinks can be served via table service until 10.00 p.m. but the performance can carry on until the normal time, in our case 10.30 p.m. with 1 meter distancing between tables.

Government rules defining support bubble eligibility changed on Wednesday 2nd December.  Please read this link to see the updated rules before booking tickets.  By booking tickets you are confirming that you have read the government guidance and that everyone you are booking tickets for is in your household or support bubble. This means you will be seated together on a table (max 6).

Customers who book separately but are in a support bubble with other customers who have booked tickets to the same show, will be required to email/phone in advance if they wish to be seated together, this is very limited, so please let me know asap.

Making a support bubble with another household – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

In light of all the restrictions and extra staffing required to deliver table service, we are re-launching our crowd-funder in an attempt to keep on top of everything:

In-line with further Government Guidelines dated 22nd September 2020, all event timings have been brought forward:

Doors: 7.00 p.m.

Performances will start between 7.30 p.m. –7.45 p.m. (depending on how full the venue is, since we now have to provide table service, which takes longer to perform), and our interval might be extended to accommodate this.

Since we come under the banner of ‘Grass Roots Music Venues’ we are still permitted to have music beyond the 10.00 p.m. curfew imposed on Pubs & Restaurants, but we cannot sell drinks beyond 10.00 p.m.

In line with the latest Government legislation/restrictions and The Music Venue Trust, dated 14th September 2020, Chapel Arts Centre is open for business.

New reduced capacity of 48, with 1 meter distancing in all directions for all events up until Easter 2021.

All events are seated Cabaret with round Café style tables. 2 customers per table, unless pre-booked in advance, up to a maximum of 6 customers seated together who are in a bubble – as per government guidelines (only one area can accommodate this), plus some tables can be set up to accommodate parties of 4.  (If you haven’t booked these tickets under one booking reference, please call or  email me in advance.

We have extensive COVID measures in place and can’t wait to welcome old and new customers back to our lovely venue.

Good ventilation.

Track & Trace information collated at time of booking your ticket on Chapel website, so no need for any App to be used.

Masks to be worn whilst moving around the venue but not required whilst seated and watching the show.

Tickets on sale (advance only) on www.chapelarts.org Minimum 2 tickets per booking.
