Hello Chapel Goers
We will be re-opening on 17th May with our Covid compliant measures, social distancing, masks worn whilst moving around the venue (not required whilst seated). These measure will be in place until at least 21st June, if not longer…
Doors for all Covid complaint events are 7.00 p.m. (please check on our website to see if your event is a Covid compliant event – It is clearly stated on each event).
Performances will start between 7.30 p.m. –7.45 p.m. (depending on how full the venue is). All Covid compliant events are reduced capacity (48 in our case) but drinks can now be served from the Bar, no more table service is required.
Latest Government Guidelines – 13th May 2021: The general rule that premises serving alcohol must only do so when it is ordered at, served to and consumed by seated customers is relaxed for these businesses. An old rule from the Tier system is re-introduced allowing food or drink which is ordered by a customer who has a ticket, to order at the bar so long as that food or drink is consumed in the seating provided to watch the film, performance or event, as the case may be. Again, custom and practice over the last few months has clearly established that, for example, grass roots live music venues can be considered “concert halls” for these purposes and we see no reason why that should change: Licensing Team BANES
All Covid compliant events are seated Cabaret with round Café style tables. 2 customers per table, unless pre-booked in advance, up to a maximum of 6 customers seated together who are in a bubble – as per government guidelines (only one area can accommodate this), plus some tables can be set up to accommodate parties of 4. (If you haven’t booked these tickets under one booking reference, please call or email me in advance on email@example.com / 01225 461700
- Good ventilation.
- Track & Trace information collected from the ticket booker, but now everybody who comes to an event at Chapel Arts will need to give their name together with their phone number or email or alternatively scan the NHS Covid QR Code using the NHS App on their phones. It is located in the foyer.
Tickets on sale (advance only) on www.chapelarts.org – Minimum 2 tickets per booking.
Government rules defining support bubble eligibility. Please read this link to see the rules before booking tickets. By booking tickets you are confirming that you have read the government guidance and that everyone you are booking tickets for is in your household or support bubble. This means you will be seated together on a table (max 6).
Customers who book separately but are in a support bubble with other customers who have booked tickets to the same show, will be required to email/phone in advance if they wish to be seated together, this is very limited, so please let me know asap.
In light of these further developments, Music Venue Trust has permitted us to re-instate our Crowd-funder to help us to continue to move forward through these tough times in the grass roots industry. I understand we are all suffering, so any funds are very much appreciated.
Onwards and upwards!!!
