Getting Here

Chapel Arts Centre is in the very heart of Bath city centre, on Lower Borough Walls, just off the Union Street/Stall Street shopping spine (close to the new Southgate Shopping Centre & near where the Roman Bath/Pump Rooms are located). It is less than a 5 minute level walk to Bath Spa Train Station and the new Bath Bus Depot. The nearest car parks are Avon Street Car Park and the new Southgate Car Park. There is limited curb side metered parking on St James Parade and a small number of disabled parking spaces immediately outside the venue but there are plenty of other onstreet parking spaces nearby, which are free after 7pm.

Being in the heart of the city, the plentiful – and very good – restaurants and cafes that Bath is known for surround Chapel Arts Centre.

If you are using GPS, our post code is BA1 1QR.

Disabled Access

Please note that we are able to admit wheelchairs into the venue but only if the customer is able to either walk up the 10 wide stone steps with handrail or please book a ‘carer’ to come with you to assist and inform me by email (see paragraph below) when booking.

Once the stone steps have been navigated, there are 3 sets of double doors which are wide enough for wheelchair access and the Auditorium is on this level, however the toilets are down two flights of stone steps, but there is a disabled toilet directly over the road at The Lamb & Lion Pub with 2 stone steps to navigate at the entrance. The Lamb & Lion are very happy for our customers to use their facility.

We also offer a complimentary ticket to the Carer, but please, once you have booked your ticket/s, can you call Jan Cottington – Centre Manager on 01225 461700 or leave a message on the answerphone or contact us  giving the name that the ticket was booked in and the Carer’s name. I will then make a note against the relevant event.
