Parisian singer Céline Dommart brings her unique blend of French chanson, Spanish tango and American jazz to Bath’s Chapel Arts Centre.
Following airplay on BBC Radio 3 for her debut EP ‘La Vie En Rose’, Céline has just released an album (Dans Les Cafes Voisins) with her quartet. The band – Montparnasse – features award winning acoustic guitarist Cris Tolley, double bass legend Paul Smith and drum wizard Robin Payne on drums and percussion.
The band have a unique sound and approach. Céline sings in French, English, Spanish and Italian – opening up a whole World of music for her audience. Recent sell out concerts at MAC Birmingham and Upton Jazz Festival amongst others have confirmed the band as one of the most entertaining acts around, leaving audience members mesmerised and being described by promoters as ‘the best act we’ve ever had’.
