Singer/Songwriter John Adams draws influences from the likes of James Morrison, Sam Smith, David Gray and James Blunt. With emotive and heartfelt narratives woven together as stories, John’s expressive and nuanced vocals compliment his acoustic approach and atmospheric piano accompaniments. His unique and impressive vocals are certainly the focus here, and John earns the undivided attention of the listener by addressing them directly, taking them on a musical version of journeys he has experienced internally.

This faithfulness to personal story is mirrored in how John came into the musical world, and continues to progress as a musician. A truly homegrown talent, he began his career busking on the streets, using the money to pay for his first release, fittingly entitled “The Pavement is My Stage”. After the album reached No.7 in the iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts he took a leap of faith and left his job as a Mathematics Teacher. That gamble paid off and John has gone on to support household names such as Take That, Lemar, Stooshe, T’Pau, The Christians and Katherine Jenkins. His hard work and impressive live performance has gained a strong following with over 6 million views on YouTube and a steady 140,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.

Eager to show his progression John will be releasing his album “You Never Know Who’s Listening” in March 2019 via New York indie label, AntiFragile Music. The new release combines his live organic sound with a minimal electronic production to make a sound that is satisfyingly different from the usual guitar wielding Singer/Songwriter. Singles “Dandelion Wishes” and “See You Again” have already received over 2 million plays on Spotify and become Radio 2 favourites.

2017 saw John perform over 200 gigs, a UK tour with several sold out dates and frequent BBC live sessions. He spends his life on the road performing and is a regular face at the UK’s largest festivals.
