Jools Scott is an immensely versatile pianist and a great showman. Following his oratorio performance in St. Paul’s Cathedral in 2018, the local composer extraordinaire releases his new album Josephine. As well as playing in The Duckworths and Beth Porter and the Availables, Jools’s music has been performed by the Philharmonia Orchestra, Flanders Symphony Orchestra and St. Paul’s Cathedral Choir.

“Josephine is a musical meditation on piano. The piece takes the listener from birth, to life spiralling away, the breakdown of a relationship, obsession, then descending fully into darkness, back up into tranquillity.. and then finally release. The album is named after my mother. It represents her strength… and is full of her warmth and love.”

Jools is bringing together a night of exquisite music to celebrate the release of Josephine. With support from Bath-based rising star Luke De-Sciscio and folk legend Beth Porter (Bookshop Band, Marshes, Lost Words), Jools will perform the whole 30 minute album, and then invite an ensemble of musical friends to join him on the stage for the grand finale.
