THIS GIG IS SEATED CABARET

Tonight sees the homecoming of Young Martyrs from their 2024 UK tour.

The UK country scene has never been as healthy as it currently is. Along with every genre are splinters and sub-genres that offer bands and artists an opportunity to carve something unique. Young Martyrs are such a band and they’re currently cutting their own piece of rhinestone with an Alt Country/Alt Rock sound that is distinctly their own.

Young Martyrs sound like The Eagles would sound if they’d formed in 2020. Their self-titled debut album gained them a loyal UK following and their newly released second album Time Is Not On Our Side has found its way onto airwaves across the globe, growing this four-piece from Southwest UK an international army of fans. If you like big guitars, deep beats and soaring harmonies then you just found your new favourite artist.

Support – Jess Chivers

Jess delivers a spirited performance, blending folk, country, and western pop influences from artists like Miley Cyrus, Stevie Nicks, Bob Dylan, the Beatles, and Johnny Cash.

Her original songs delve into unconventional themes like mental health, identity, and empowerment, often from unique perspectives, such as those of a jellyfish or a serial killer.

Her performance at Bath Chapel Arts pre-dates her debut EP release, which is expected to be released by the end of 2024
