With the roots of Cuban Son and Latin jazz at its heart, Riamba performs an evening of irresistible Latin music as well as popular jazz standards with an enticing Latin groove. Drawn from London’s Latin and jazz scenes, Riamba’s musicians combine their eclectic musical experiences to create a unique sound where the fusion of jazz and dance music meets on the concert stage.
Riamba’s musicians originate from Europe and Latin America and each has toured extensively around the world with renowned artists such as Enclavegospel, The Ghana Dance Ensemble, Stewart Copeland and Django Bates. Their concert platforms span the globe and include world-famous venues such as: The Royal Albert Hall, The Southbank Centre, Ronnie Scott’s, Jazz Café, Bolivar Hall, 606 Club, Ghana National Theatre and Melbourne & Sydney International Festivals.
The combination of its international musicality, energy and highly rated musicians has made Riamba one of the UK’s sought-after Cuban Son and Latin jazz bands. After their last tour in the West Country in 2018, Riamba has been in the studio re-mastering Latin classics as well as composing new material – all brought together in their upcoming gigs for the new decade.
