The KDV house band is a collective of well known west country musicians.
The band gets its name from the Kingsdown Vaults pub which is fast becoming one of Bristol’s finest intimate music venues. The pub landlord is Drew Bridges who leads the band. Drew has toured with the Rosellys (www.therosellys.co.uk) and takes the role of lead vocalist with the KDV house band.
Tom Collison is the band’s keyboard player. Tom was awarded UK instrumentalist of the year at the UK Americana awards show, reflecting his pedigree as Session Musician, Musical Director, Producer and Creative Consultant. Tom has also played with the Rosellys and the Savannahs.
Lewis Creaven (guitar), Patrick Farrell (bass) and Mike Hoddinott (drums) play together in The Lewis Creaven band and are probably Bristol’s hardest working combo. They regularly run open mic sessions and Lewis presents a monthly evening of Dharma Blues which combines electric blues with Indian influenced music.
Their web site is www.thelewiscreavenband.co.uk
Mike has his own project known as the Mike Hoddinott Blues Allstars (www.mikehoddinottbluesallstars) and can be found playing with the likes of Pete Gage, Ruzz Guitar’s Blues Review amongst many others.
Caroline Tarbuck is Bristol’s one and only Bonnie Raitt. That flame haired lady with the stunning blues voice can be found fronting the First Raitt Band (www.firstraittband.co.uk)
Roger Slade (guitar) has been treading the boards for decades as co-founder member of Flash Harry (www.flashharryband.co.uk), one of Bristol’s longest running folk rock bands. Roger also can be seen with country blues band Lost Eleven, and the First Raitt Band playing the music of Bonnie Raitt.
