Good quality wine requires good quality grapes, and this limits production to areas where the climate and soil is suitable. But although all the grape varieties from which wine is made originated in Europe, they sometimes do even better in foreign parts. But reference to the map, where wine growing regions are coloured blue, shows very clearly, that the vine is rather choosy!
The wines in this tasting will be chosen to highlight places where a particular variety turns out to be well suited to the local climate and soils.
There will be at least 8 wines on taste, each wine from a different wine region.
As usual there will also be a selection of quality breads and cheeses.
