A Wine & Food Evening

After a sparkler to start off the evening there is an extensive cold buffet, including bread and cheeses, plus three flights of wines. There will be the sort of wines that are suitable for an informal party, followed by some more expensive wines more suited to a dinner party. And finally some sweet/fortified wines, which is always a nice way to conclude a food and wine evening.
Another departure from a normal tasting is that instead of everybody tasting the same 8 wines, you get to make some personal choices. Each flight of wines will include several different wines and you choose which you would most like to try.
All the wines will be chosen with the Christmas season in mind, and the selection will include some of the good value Xmas offers that are locally available.
The Christmas tasting builds on a tried and tested format that has been running for over ten years. As usual the seating is at long tables, dinner party style, and Chapel Arts provides an ideal venue for socialising too.
Please note: as always you should not drink and drive. And on this evening using a spitoon is not an easy option!
