Refreshing whites or robust reds for barbeques are the type of wines that go with sunny evenings. That’s the sort of wines that will be on taste, all delicious in different ways.
The tasting will definitely start with a sparkler, but the rest will depend on what is on offer and looks both interesting and fits in with the theme. As with a party wine one is not looking for a wine that is some sort of classic that demands attention. Instead one wants a wine that everyone will drink with pleasure. The wines of Alsace and The Loire Valley spring to mind with some easy drinking reds to follow, ending with something suitable for the BBQ season.
